The Bose Lifestyle 30 system has many great attributes. It takes up little space, it is very easy to use, it is simple to set up, and best of all, you get fantastic sound. I bought this product in 3/98 and I have thoroughly enjoyed it ever since. I purchased this system because of 3 different reasons. I didn’t have a lot of space, so I needed something small and elegant. I also needed something that I would be able to use without reading a huge manual filled with options and functions that I would never use. Lastly, I wanted something that was going to give me incredible sound! I definitely found it. The little jewel cube speakers have a very clean, crisp sound. The acoustimass module provides deep, non-localized bass - and I really like the fact that you can put it anywhere in your room. I have it hidden under a decorative table so you can’t even see it. I really love the remote control. It is a radio frequency remote rather than an infrared, so it will work anywhere in your house.

Now for the negative aspects. If I could change this system I would do 2 things differently. First off, I would have a visual volume control. There is no way of telling where you are volume-wise, so if you were blasting it when you turned it off, you are going to be in for a surprise when you turn it back on. Secondly, I would have more CD options. I would really like to be able to have a random/repeat play.

This system is not for everybody. It is definitely not for audiophiles and it isn’t for people who love gadgets. I would recommend this to people who want something easy to use, but with great sound. I can’t think of a system out there that will give you incredible sound in such a small size. Good things do come in small packages.
