I had several reasons to purchase this product. My main goal was to be able to have a compact unit that allowed for DVD/CD playback with the ability to handle multiple discs.

Setting up the system was a painless process. I was enjoying Dolby Digital output from my first DVD movie in about an hour. Determining how to change the audio to Dolby Digital 5.1 took a little while to figure out. Many movies default to Dolby Surround. Figuring out how to change this was not obvious in the manual.

Figuring out how to use the random feature for music CD’s is not obvious as well. There is not a random button that many CD players have. You are required to go into an onscreen menu on your television to set this up.

I love the sound that comes out of this unit for the price. It provides a small package with big sound for watching movies. Although I would not recommend this product for somebody that wants to listen to a lot of music. The main reason that I say that is that CD-R will not play in this unit. I have tried several different CD-R’s and the unit will not even read them.
