Sony DAV-HDX267W Home Theater System Unleash the power of ultra high-fidelity surround speakers and a 285-watt subwoofer when you watch movies and listen to music with the DAV-...
Why pay $8.50 per movie theater ticket when you can be encircled in action, drama, romance, laughter and childlike joy? Our family has always had a surround sound system, starting off in the early days with a simple stereo that we hooked up. We have a system in our bedroom, and we recently replaced a broken television, and purchased a wireless system to go with it shortly thereafter to keep the living room free of tangled up and unsightly wires.
The Sony BRAVIA is the most amazing system in that not only does it have several sizes and sound patterns, but it comes with it’s own 5 disk dvd/cd changer/player that is state of the art. Not only does the room come to life in sound, but visual as well! The system works digitally with 1,000 watts of infrared technology that allows the speakers to connect without so much as one wire. It is very easy to hook up and the remote control is simple to atune in perfect sync, and you can organize each function to work solo or together.
The dvd system in itself is so avant-garde that it upgrades dvds with a 480p to a 1080i resolution for lucid hedonism in watching your favorite movies. Of course, it won’t be as sweet of a deal if your television is not digitally compatible. If you have HDTV or and LCD/Flat panel or equal, it should upgrade nicely. I can’t say for certain about other televisions, but I know enough about dvd players to know that the dvd player does make a huge difference when dvds are played. As far as tvs, I have nothing to compare it to, seeing as we got both (the Bravia and our new tv)at around the same time, I never used this home theater on an average tv, and have used the dvd player with it exclusively.
Of course, me being a gadget flunkey, my husband hooked up the dvd, the wireless system, hooked everything up to the tv, placed the speakers in military stance, and did everything else the remote asked of him. He is a genius, and without him, I would be lost in the oozarks. He made it look simple enough, but to be honest, I was not paying attention, I just kept asking “Can we use it yet?”. Now that it is hooked up, it is simple for me to use.
Wanna hear about the faddish and mod features that would make the mores and the Joneses jealous?? While I think it is too novel, the Digital Media Port is all that. You can various hip and important things such as play music from every corner of your home, whether it be your iPod or other MP3s, a docking station, a bluetooth along with a 30 station preset with all local am/fm channels. It has it ALL. We have had no problems, and everything thus far has run together smoothly.
Now, what you have hung in this far to hear about ~ How does it sound??? Imagine cuddling in your Lazyboy, and over your head you hear wind whistling and leaves blowing past you. To not only hear but to feel an F5 act of Mother Nature crash past you in the movie TWISTER. To watch THE LION KING and feel the stampedes and jump when you hear the growl of Scar. You hear things you never would if listening without it. To hear the sound zoom past your right ear, into your left, and then back to your right and then BOOM ~ both ears at once!! When your spine chills, and your heart races, and you feel as if the entire program literally revolves around you, you know you have experienced the regal force of the Sony Bravia!
The digital, wireless, infrared signal of these mighty and intelligent speakers is Sony’s birthright. It is easy to get back on track if your signal gets lost, you may just have to reposition the speakers if clarity gets untuned. Which, being wireless, is easy to do. Good ideas? Put the tow large ones behind your couch on each side. Where ever you sit most to watch television, put smaller ones above you, such as a shelf. Put others behind the tv, or anywhere they can “Speak” to one another and ricochet entertainment to be envied! The sound boomerangs with it’s own silent digital language.
This is worth every thin dime, and if you are movie addicts or love watching the football games, or MTV concerts, this is a blast! Not to mention, if you have video game systems like we do, it rocks the house! We have both Rock Band and Guitar Hero for XBOX 360, and it is amazing and powerful. The only drawback? You are going to want to have it on 24/7! Don’t forget, it is a cd player, iPod player as well!! All for one, One for All!
