I bought this system a week ago and I’m very impressed with it (especially because it’s a in-a-box system). First, a previous review stated they couldn’t connect it to their TV. I’m just a kid and I hooked it up on Christmas Eve in about a half hour. But be aware that the box includes all cables (and speaker cables) except for RCA audio cables (the red and white ones you usually see connecting your DVD/VCR player to the TV). These wires connect from the TV in on the HTS to the audio out on the TV. I have a Mitsubishi HD Widescreen TV and I also needed to select in its menu something that says TV speakers off audio out. The yellow cable included with the HTS is connected to one of the TVs video input to view the HTSs menu in DVD/USB mode. By the way, remember that it doesn’t except hard drive USB devices (usually high memory like 30GB iPods). I found the sound quality to be clear and crisp, even at low volumes (I usually operate it at 10 or under). The bass was also surprising when watching movies. The only thing I didn’t really like is that in TV and DVD/USB mode you can select Concert, Drama, Action, and SciFi, and others for equalizer levels (amount of bass, treble, right/left balance, front/rear balance, etc.) but you can’t manually select these levels like you can on some systems.
